Welcome to CAIDS-24

The Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology at the University of Science & Technology Bannu (UST Bannu), the Faculty of Computing at Riphah International University Islamabad (RIU Islamabad), and Multimedia University Malaysia (MMU Malaysia) are hosting the 2nd International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI, and Data Science (CAIDS-2024) at Riphah International University Islamabad on November 21-22, 2024, following the successful organization of the 1st International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI, and Data Science (CAIDS-2023).

CAIDS-2023 received 69 submissions, of which 44 were selected after a rigorous review process. Of these, 26 papers were recommended for publication in three MMU Press journals based on their originality and contribution, following an additional review. The remaining 18 papers were recommended for publication in an ISSN-based conference proceedings book by MMU Press. The journal-approved papers have been published in various issues, and the conference proceedings book is in its final stages.

CAIDS-2024 aims to provide an excellent platform for researchers and scholars from around the world to share their findings on recent advances in Computing, AI, and Data Science. This joint initiative by UST Bannu, RIU Islamabad, and MMU Malaysia will foster communication and collaboration among academia, industry, and government. It seeks to explore various dimensions of these cutting-edge fields, with a focus on practical applications in Pakistan.

The conference is financially supported by UST Bannu, RIU Islamabad, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (support is currently in process). Papers accepted and presented at CAIDS-2024 will be published in the associated journals of MMU Press Malaysia and RIU Islamabad (subject to another round of journal-specific technical review) or in an ISSN-based conference proceedings book by MMU Press (approval pending).

The conference will be held in hybrid mode, and we welcome online talks and presentations to ensure a wide range of participants can benefit from this exciting opportunity.

Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, the current Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, will be the Chief Guest at the 2nd International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI & Data Science (CAIDS-24). A seasoned politician, Honrable Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, has served in various high-profile positions, including Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Adviser to the Prime Minister.
As Governor, he has shown a deep commitment to fostering development and prosperity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His political acumen and dedication to public service are widely recognized, making him a key figure in bridging provincial and federal relations. His presence at CAIDS-24 will undoubtedly inspire participants and contribute to the success of the event.

Prof. Dr. Aurangzeb Khan

Chief Organizer
Prof. Dr. Aurangzeb Khan is the Chief Organizer of 2nd International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI & Data Science (CAIDS-24). He is currently a Professor and Dean of IT at the University of Science & Technology Bannu. His research interests include Big Data, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Web Mining. He holds a PhD in IT from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. Prof. Dr. Aurangzeb Khan has an impressive academic background with 71 publications, three book chapters, and over 20 workshops and conferences. He is recognized as an HEC approved Supervisor and has received numerous awards and research grants for his contributions to the field of Computer Science and IT. His extensive experience and achievements make him a valuable asset as the Chief Organizer of 2nd International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI & Data Science (CAIDS-24).

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair

Co-Chief Organizer
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair serves as the Co-Chief Organizer for the 2nd International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI, & Data Science (CAIDS-24). Currently, he holds the position of Dean at the Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan. With twenty-five years of teaching and research experience, both nationally and internationally, Dr. Zubair has played a significant role in curriculum design for undergraduate and graduate programs. He is proficient in academic program accreditation at the national (NCEAC, PEC) and international levels (ABET). As an academic manager, he is enthusiastic about integrating the latest technological trends into the curriculum, ensuring students are industry-ready upon graduation. His contributions make him an invaluable asset to the CAIDS-24 conference as its Co-Chief Organizer.
